Mollie Vehling

Mollie Vehling ’99

Spirit Squad Director

Mollie Vehling is a proud UCLA graduate with a bachelor’s degree in dance. While at UCLA, Vehling served on the UCLA Dance Team for two years. She is currently in her 18th season as the UCLA Spirit director. With more than 30 years of experience and training in dance, choreography, producing and directing, Vehling is thrilled to be working with the UCLA program.

Vehling continues to serve as a judge for competitions and auditions at all levels throughout the United States. She has produced instructional cheer and dance DVDs with Championship Productions, currently available online.

Vehling has traveled with the UCLA team to Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai, as well as universities throughout the United States. She has choreographed and coordinated the production for each of the international trips. Vehling has also choreographed for multiple television and movie projects.

She enjoys working closely with the Spirit directors throughout the PAC-12. Vehling is extremely proud of how the UCLA Spirit program has developed under her leadership including community outreach incentives such as the Junior Spirit Squad, currently in its sixth season!

Vehling and her husband, Derek, are the proud parents of Lillie, Emilie, Brodie and Maggie Mae - all future Bruins!


Nicole Cohen

Nicole Cohen ’06

Dance Team Coach

Nicole Cohen is returning to her alma mater for her ninth season. Cohen graduated in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in World Arts and Cultures, concentrating on dance and spent three years on the Dance Team. She also worked in the television and film industry, appearing in several movies, a TV series and commercials for Fox Sports and the Lexus Gauntlet.

Upon graduation, Cohen moved to Boston where she spent a year performing as an inaugural member of the Celtics Dancers. She returned to California and began dancing with the Los Angeles Clippers Spirit in 2007. In addition to her five years with the NBA, Cohen has performed with Rihanna, Cee Lo Green and Lenny Kravitz at the 2011 All-Star Game, as well as taken part in international performances in Hong Kong, Beijing, Xi’an and Mexico City. Her choreography credits include routines for UCLA Dance, Cheer and Mascot Teams; the Laker Girls; the Los Angeles Clippers Spirit and Jr. Jam Teams; the UCI Dance Team; and the Tokyo Apache Dance Team.

This past year, Cohen founded her own business, Rise Academy of Dance in Redondo Beach, California. Dance has always played a large role in her life and she hopes to instill her passion for dance in her students.

Cohen is looking forward to another exciting year at UCLA! Go Bruins!

Kyle Bruich ’01

Cheer Squad Coach

Kyle Bruich is excited to be at UCLA where he earned his bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in English. He served as a member of the Cheer Squad and was a two-time captain. While on the team, Bruich was fortunate enough to perform at the Rose Bowl, Rose Parade, Sun Bowl, NCAA tournaments and was featured in both Muscle and Fitness and Elle magazines.

With a Doctorate of Education, Bruich has become an expert in teaching and learning, and applies these practices to cheerleading. A former head instructor with the United Spirit Association, he earned the title of MVP and served on the company’s program development team. Bruich has traveled around the country choreographing, coaching, producing and designing music mixes for various school and all-star teams, ranging from pee-wee to professional – including huge industrial shows for Cisco Computer Systems, the Ladies Professional Golf Association, Volkswagen and more. Several of his teams have won national titles and high-point designations.

As a commercially trained dancer, Bruich has toured around the world with the North American Tour of Miss Saigon, and cheerleading shows in China and Guatemala. He has also been cast in commercials for ESPN College Game Day, Adidas and Disney.

Bruich currently serves as an assistant principal in Glendale, California. He is very proud to be a part of the UCLA Spirit Squad team and looks forward to an exciting year for the Bruins!


Chris Troutt

Irazmi Perez

Cheer Squad Assistant Coach

Irazmi Perez joins the Bruins for her fifth season. No stranger to Pac-12 Athletics, Perez got her start at the University of Arizona as a cheerleader. With more than 17 years of cheerleading, coaching and judging experience, and as a former head instructor and Nationals judge for the United Spirit Association, she is very familiar with the coveted “West Coast flair” seen in cheer and dance routines. Perez uses this talent in her free time as a certified safety and technical judge at events around the world.

She has coached and choreographed at all levels of cheerleading across the United States from high school to all-star and college teams. As a cheerleader and coach, she defended and won multiple national titles and has been featured by The OC Register, The WB Network, American Cheerleader Magazine and Inside Cheerleading Magazine. Her most recent accomplishment is being nominated for the U.S. All-Star Federation’s Emerging Leaders Program. Perez previously coached the nationally ranked University of California, San Diego Cheer team.

With her master’s in education, she has a gift for promoting the complete student-athlete experience. A fluent Castilian Spanish speaker, Perez has a passion for meeting people around the world and is looking forward to meeting Bruin fans from coast to coast this season!


Katie Keefe

Katie Keefe ‘10

Dance Team Assistant Coach

Katie Katie is thrilled to be joining the coaching staff for her first season. Keefe received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA and was a four-year member of the Dance Team. While on the team, she represented UCLA in China at the Final Four as well as on the cover of Los Angeles Magazine. Keefe appeared in numerous commercials and advertisements for the university and NCAA, and tremendously enjoyed her time on the team and in school.

Keefe is now an actress and can be seen on television shows such as The League; New Girl; Austin and Ally; and The Mindy Project, as well as in films and commercials. She also works as an instructor at Rise Nation and Playlist Yoga, and brings a wealth of fitness experience and expertise to the team.

Keefe and her husband James live in Brentwood and love attending UCLA basketball games together. This year she just might not be sitting with him!


KC Reischerl

KC Reischerl

Fitness Trainer

KC Reischerl danced professionally on Broadway (Miss Saigon, Beauty and the Beast, Jumpers) for more than ten years before moving to Los Angeles, California in 2008. Currently, he is the dance program supervisor for the UCLA Recreation department as well as the gymnastics instructor for Instructional Programs. Reischerl holds a B.F.A. from Syracuse University and certifications from NSCA, ACE, USA Gymnastics, CrossFit (Level One, Olympic Lifting, Gymnastics) and TRX. He also freelances as a choreographer for television, film and theatre; he has worked with Meg Ryan, Sally Field, Stephen Schwartz and Rob Lowe. Reischerl is very excited to work with the UCLA Spirit Squad for his third season!


Suzie Moldavon

Hair, Make-up and Wax Consultant

Suzie Moldavon is in her 10th season with the UCLA Spirit Squad. As a celebrity makeup artist and owner of a mobile eyebrow business, Flybrow, Moldavon knows what a difference it makes in the rest of your life when you feel amazing on the outside – it unlocks that inner beauty and lets the world know you’re FLY!

Moldavon was recently selected for the 2016 Best Businesses of Los Angeles Award in the Makeup Artists category by the Best Businesses of Los Angeles Award Program. This is the second time since 2014 that Moldavon has been selected for the award, in addition to being chosen as the ‘Best of’ in Los Angeles for six years in a row by TheKnot.com. Her work has been featured in People magazine, South Bay Magazine, Your Wedding Day Magazine and many more. Moldavon worked as a host makeup artist on FABlife for the 2015-16 season, and appeared on the show as an eyebrow expert in 2016. She has done make-up and styling for numerous entertainment appearances including “The Tonight Show,” “Real Time with Bill Maher,” “The View” and numerous fitness commercials for Bowflex, Nautilus and Reebok.

Moldavon earned her esthetician license in 1992 while getting her B.A. in Psychology and Social behavior from UC Irvine. While her passion is bringing out inner beauty, her favorite job is being a mom to her 12-year-old son, Hudson.
